Created during my time at Outcrop Communications, this collection features work for the Government of the Northwest Territories alongside campaigns for Northwest Territories Tourism and Health Canada. My contributions span concept development, design, art direction, photo compositing and cartography, with individual projects identifying my role within the wider creative team.
Deh Cho Bridge | Campaign & Photo Compositing
Created for the Government of the Northwest Territories, Department of Transportation, this campaign promoted the opening of the Deh Cho Bridge, a major infrastructure project spanning the Mackenzie River and improving year-round access to the territorial capital.
The creative positioned the bridge as both an engineering milestone and a gateway to the Dehcho region. Extensive Photoshop compositing, including sky replacement, reconstructed reflections, colour grading and the integration of regional wildlife and people, transformed existing photography into a dramatic, unified composition. Bold typography and regional imagery completed the campaign, developed for posters and large-format displays in high-traffic travel environments.
Second-Hand Smoke | Public Awareness Campaign
Developed for Health Canada, this campaign was built around the concept "What Are You Passing Down?", contrasting the traditions, skills and values passed between generations with the unintended consequences of second-hand smoke. I developed the creative concept and art directed an original photoshoot with photographer Pat Kane, using humour and provocative imagery to deliver a serious public health message. The campaign extended across posters, transit advertising and direct mail, with English and French adaptations.
MySpectacular NWT | National Tourism Campaign
Part of a larger destination marketing initiative for Northwest Territories Tourism, this series of Globe and Mail advertisements introduced Canadian audiences to the landscapes, people and experiences of Canada's North. Combining compelling destination photography, personal travel stories and engaging editorial design, the campaign brought the territory's distinctive character to a national audience. I contributed to the creative development, messaging and production as part of the Outcrop Communications team.
Elder Abuse | Public Awareness Campaign
A territory-wide awareness campaign addressing the sensitive issue of elder abuse through emotionally engaging imagery and direct, accessible messaging. The poster series combines tightly cropped photography, textured storytelling elements and a restrained colour palette to communicate difficult subjects with clarity and sensitivity. Developed collaboratively at Outcrop Communications, the campaign demonstrates a thoughtful approach to socially responsible visual communication.
Northwest Territories Explorers' Guide | Editorial Design
A comprehensive tourism publication showcasing the extraordinary landscapes, communities, attractions and travel opportunities of the Northwest Territories. Developed collaboratively with the Outcrop creative team, the guide combines destination photography, editorial layouts and detailed visitor information. My contributions included the design of the complete territorial map, organizing communities, routes, parks and regional landmarks into a clear and accessible visual reference.
Economic Development Prospectus | Publication Design
An eight-page gatefold brochure developed for the Government of the Northwest Territories to communicate the region's economic opportunities and investment potential. The visual design closely mirrored the look and feel of the government's website at the time, creating a consistent identity across print and digital communications. The publication brings together information on resource development, infrastructure, energy, tourism and economic growth through structured typography, photography and information design. The challenge was to organize substantial amounts of technical and statistical content into a cohesive, accessible and visually engaging presentation.
