At Outcrop Communications, I designed annual report layouts, multilingual office displays and workplace safety communications for the Workers’ Safety and Compensation Commission (WSCC). Working within WSCC’s established brand standards, I adapted its visual identity across publications, signage and campaigns. The work also includes an original humorous safety concept and a photoshoot I art directed with photographer Pat Kane.
Annual Report | Editorial Design
The 2011 Annual Report for the Workers' Safety and Compensation Commission (WSCC) of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. The publication combines striking Northern photography, structured typography and detailed financial information in a cohesive editorial design. A strong visual hierarchy and carefully considered layouts balance corporate accountability with an engaging presentation of the commission's activities, achievements and responsibilities.
Vision, Mission & Values | Multilingual Office Signage
A pair of large-format interior displays designed for WSCC offices, communicating the organization's vision, mission and values in English, French and Inuktitut. The designs integrate multiple languages and Indigenous syllabics within a unified visual system, balancing legibility, cultural inclusivity and a professional corporate aesthetic. Careful attention to typography, spacing and information hierarchy ensures consistency across all three languages.
Workplace Safety | Awareness Campaign
A humorous workplace safety poster developed for WSCC, built around the concept of protecting workers from preventable injuries. I developed the original creative concept and art directed the photography with Pat Kane, using an exaggerated visual scenario to deliver a memorable safety message. The campaign was adapted into multiple Northern Indigenous languages, requiring careful typographic treatment of translated content and syllabics while maintaining the integrity of the original design.
